Antique American Federal Style Game Table, Circa 1830-60s

Item Details

An antique American Federal style/Regency Revival style game table, circa 1830-60s. Possibly attributed to the Baltimore workshop of William Camp, this American Federal style table features heavily reeded legs over a flamed mahogany veneer apron. The Regency Revival style table top surface features an intricate design with playing cards and florals across burled walnut. The surface is thought to be redone in New York during the 1860s. The turret corners were added at a later time. The table surface lifts off and once opened, can be rotated across the legged base, which includes storage compartment within the apron. The gaming surface is non-decorated.
