An assortment of three abstract mixed media compositions on canvas boards by listed American artist Ronald Ahlström (1922-2012). These works are composed of acrylic paint, ink, various paper scraps, fragmented printed imagery, and other materials. One work features a black silhouetted figure against a yellow, gray, and blue background filled with erratic delineations; this work is not signed. Two other works are mixed media collages featuring abstract geometric designs, one with agitated delineations. Two compositions are signed to the lower right and one also includes a signature to the verso with handwritten information about the work. Each composition remains unframed.
Condition
- various scratches, spots of paint loss, stains, and smudge marks throughout compositions; some fraying, bending, and small rips along canvas board edges.
