Assortment of Ronald Ahlström Abstract Mixed Media Compositions on Canvas Boards
Item Details
An assortment of three abstract mixed media compositions on canvas boards by listed American artist Ronald Ahlström (1922-2012). These works are composed of acrylic paint, ink, various paper scraps, fragmented printed imagery, and other materials. One work titled Head features a bust portrait portrayed in a Cubist style with angular shapes and exaggerated features in red, yellow, blue, white, and black. Two other works are mixed media collages featuring geometric designs with angular shapes, one of which includes fragments of printed mass media imagery. All works are signed to the versos; two are signed on the front to the lower right, and one includes the artist’s monogram stamp. Additional handwriting is present to the versos of all canvas boards, providing additional information about the work. Each composition remains unframed.
Condition
- minor wear along edges of all compositions including scratches, scuff marks, fraying, small rips, and bending; minor scratches, stains, and small spots of paint loss scattered throughout all compositions.
