This sculpture features a lizard posing on a ceramic made log, in a handcrafted intricate tribal-like bead work design throughout, comprised of glass beads in vibrant shades of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black, and white. The Huichol are Native Americans, living in the Sierra Madre Occidental range in the Mexican states of Nayarit, Jalisco, Zacatecas, and Durango.
