A 1925 hardcover edition of The Deerslayer by John Fenimore Cooper, published by Charles Schribner’s Sons. This reprint of the 1841 classic has color images by N.C. Wyeth and comes with its original dust jacket, which also has color images. The Deerslayer is part of Cooper’s famous Leatherstocking Tales, narrating the life of fictional character Natty Bumpo and the role of the Frontiersman of early American history; this particular tale is the first chronological tale, but was published last.
