Hand Painted Porcelain Plaques
Item Details
A pair of hand painted oval porcelain plaques. One features two birds perched on a flowering branch and is signed ‘Wilson’ to the lower center. It is mounted on dark red suede cloth in an oval wood frame with carved and gilded trim and fitted with a sawtooth hanger. The other plaque depicts a landscape with a cottage, a spray of pansies and a bluebird. It is signed and dated ‘R. Holcomb 85’ to the lower right and mounted with lace edging on a dark blue ground in a gilded wood frame that is wired for hanging.
Condition
- edge wear to the oval frame, verso is slightly soiled.
