This charming painting depicts a classic shingled seaside cottage with a line of laundry (one of which is a red shirt) blowing in the wind as gulls fly overhead. Signed to the lower right in red paint. Framed in weathered carved wood. To the verso, an exhibition tag from the Artists of the Boothbay Region 1st annual exhibition (1947) with artist information. Wired to hang.

Condition

- frame has wear due to age. Some accretion on canvas due to age. Canvas shows craquelure.
