Antique J.B. Curtis Watercolor "Near Malvern"
Item Details
An antique watercolor painting on paper titled Near Malvern signed J.B. Curtis. This monochromatic painting depicts a loaded wagon pulled by a team of horses rolling past a Tudor style cottage. The work is signed ad dated 1880 in the lower left and titled in the lower right. Additional graphite writing by an unknown hand in the lower right reads ‘On the Road Great’. There is a bonus graphite drawing of a mountain lake titled Ben Venue 1875 on the verso of the painting. It is presented in a white mat with black bevel.
Condition
- mat has staining; indentation marks; thumbtack holes inn upper corners.
