Antique Walnut Armchair with Queen Anne Style Footstool

Item Details

An antique walnut armchair with a Queen Anne style footstool. The chair features an elaborately carved crest supported in turned stiles with high finials, five vase-turned splats, and arches to the mid rail and shoe. Curved arms end in scrolled handholds. The seat is upholstered in a multi-floral damask with antiqued brass nail head trim. It is raised on turned legs and accented with a carved front stretcher. Also included is a small footstool with matching upholstery and floral carvings to the apron. It rises on cabriole legs with pad feet.

Condition

- to fair. Repair to one armrest support; wear and minor scratches to the wood frame; the upholstery is not original, but appears in good condition with only minor soiling; chair and ottoman are not a matched set.
