A pair of East Asian wood and metal figurines of Hotei, a folkloric god of happiness and contentment. These pieces present rotund figures carrying characteristic cloth bags, crouching on rice sacks. The wood figurine with a brick red finish has an inscription to the underside with the god’s name and is signed ‘Bizeen’.
