Vintage "Gamewell" Fire Alarm Box

A vintage Gamewell fire alarm box. This red metal box was manufactured by the Gamewell Co. and features a pull down handle and lever to set off the at one time working alarm for the fire department. The front of the box is embossed with ‘Gamewell’ along with a fist grasping lightning rods logo. To the bottom is marked Fire Alarm Station, The Gamewell Co., Newton, Mass. The box has a lock but there is no key for entry to the inside mechanism.
