Mid-to-Late Edo Period Japanese Arita Ware Bowl
Item Details
An antique Japanese Arita wear bowl from the mid-to-late-Edo period (1615-1868). This shallow bowl features a wide form with a blue floral and foliate motif against a white background. The underside features a four character mark that reads ‘Perpetual Spring of Riches and Honors’ (冨貴長春). There is hand writing to the underside with an estimated date attribution.
Condition
- to fair; surface wear including faint scratches and markings; dirt residue throughout.
