A Modernist style oil painting on board of a nude woman. Portrayed with dark black outlines, simplified flattened forms, and gradated non-mimetic colors, this expressionistic work features a nearly full-body portrayal of a nude woman. She holds a piece of fruit on a plate balanced on her right hand and stands next to a table with cubic and spherical objects. The painting is illegibly signed and dated to the upper right. It is presented in a silver-tone wood frame. ‘J.C McDonald’ is handwritten to the verso.
