An original oil painting on board of a winter landscape by Hungarian artist NadudavaryBalazs. This moody scene depicts a lone silhouetted figure walking along a stream. In the foreground there is snow covered ground and four large dark trees with bare branches. The background is a pale green-yellow suggesting a setting sun. Skillfully painted with expressive brush work and expressive color. Little is known of this artist. Framed in a carved wood frame, painted in a gold tone. To the verso, stamped Kivitelre Engedelyezve , which is Hungarian for approval to export. Additionally, there is hand writing, presumably Hungarian as well, and the date June 1944. Wired to hang.
