An oil painting on canvas titled Nature Morte aux Raisins (Still Life with Grapes) by well-listed French artist Pierre Emile Lelong (1908-1984), created in 1956. Portrayed with vibrant colors, thick outlines, and an overall flatness, this post-impressionistic work features a spread of fruit and tableware on a flat blue surface partially covered with a brown cloth. The painting is signed to the lower left and dated to the lower right; the artist’s name and title of the work are also handwritten to the canvas verso. The composition is presented in a black and gold-tone wood frame with a canvas liner and a gold-tone sight edge.
