Item Details
An encaustic pigmentation on paper in the manner of well-listed Mexican muralist artist Dr Atl, Gerardo Murillo (1875-1964). This expressionistic landscape depicts a mountainous territory and an erupting volcano comprised of vibrant hues and swaying brushstrokes. The work is signed ‘dr atl’ by hand to the lower right. Included to the verso is a certificate of authenticity from ‘Mtro. Angel Palacio Gonzales’ and Provenance documentation from ‘Fundación Santiago Porrero’. Presented behind glass, housed in a gesso and gilt frame.

- minor wear and scuffing to finish on frame.
