Antique Eastlake Style Hand Painted Washstand

An antique Eastlake style washstand. This painted wooden piece has a tall backsplash with two small candle shelves, and a long drawer over two stacked drawers to the left and a cabinet to the right. The drawers have horizontal reeded bands at the top and bottom, Knapp joints, and brass bails on etched plates; the stacked drawers have center top escutcheons. It is hand painted throughout with gold colored accents of banded stripes and geometric lobe flowers, with a pyramidal design on the cabinet door. It is raised on casters. The back is composed of unfinished vertical boards.
