Ink Wash

An original ink and watercolor illustration on paper. The image is made up of layers of organic black patterns protruding in rings from a bright yellow circle to the upper left corner of the composition. These rings of pattern have been filled with rbgith watercolors. The painting is unsigned, though the words ‘Bill Helm , U.S. (Manila, 1970)’ are written in ink to the verso. The piece is matted in white and is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with white painted finish and a hanging wire.

Condition

- paper is slightly yellowed. Matting is even more yellowed, with a few small spots of foxing. Light scratching and scuffing across frame.
