A carved gourd vessel with brass collar. The stem acts as a natural handle for this carved gourd vessel. Around the body is an etched floral pattern with a shield plaque to the front and banded rectangular spirals to the top and bottom. Embossed brass collar displays a similar floral and shield motif. the item resembles Chinese carved gourd cricket cages, although its use is unidentified.
