A hand knotted Indo-Persian style wool area rug by Agrippa. The rug features an ivory field infilled with arabesque and foliar designs worked in shades of rust, pale blue, camel, sage green and leaf green. The spandrels are green with foliate designs in the same palette. The narrow guard borders are light blue with a small pattern of vines while the primary border has a rust background with palmettes and foliar motifs. There is cotton fringe at each end. There are two labels attached tot he back. One states ‘All Pure New Wool Pile/Genuine Agrippa/One of the World’s Finest Rugs/Loom Size 3’4 x 8’8/Color Iv. Red//Hand Woven in India’ and ‘Custom Made Carpet/ Hand Woven in India.’
