Vintage Brass C.W.S. Makers Scale with Wood Base
Item Details
A vintage brass C.W.S. Makers scale with a wood base, made in Manchester. This scale has a central column with decorative scrollwork and a balancing arm which fits into slots on a central pendulum piece. At either end of the balancing arm are brass scale pans. The central column screws into a wood base with a brass plaque which reads ‘Co-Operative Wholesale Society Limited. Makers, Balloon St., Manchester’. Marked ‘C.W.S. Makers, Manchester’ on the balancing arm.
Condition
- normal wear and dents to brass.
