Item Details
A watercolor painting on paper titled Milking by French-American artist St. John Lewis (1866-1915), created in 1893. This painting features a woman milking a cow as another woman watches her from a nearby doorway. It is signed and dated, ’93, in paint to the lower left corner. This painting is matted and presented in an ornate, gold and green painted wood and gesso frame under glass; hanging wire is present to the verso.
Condition
- to fair; crack present in lower left corner of glass; heavy chipping to paint on frame; dents and scratches to frame; frame is coming loose at the corners; nails present to edges of frame.
