Item Details
A handwoven Turkish carpet runner. This wool rug is rendered in a variegated palette of cornsilk, sapphire, terracotta, and dark gray-blue on a heavily abrashed field. It begins with a central row of vertically arranged ashik Ersari guls over cornsilk. These are framed by three borders, including a primary border of ’wolf’s mouth’ elements. Selvedges are double overcast. Ends finish with ivory wool warp fringe. The rug is unlabeled.
