An oil painting on panel of a Native American style scene by listed artist Heinie Hartwig. This Impressionist painting depicts a setting sun over a camp site, which features a lone tepee with a figure cooking near a bonfire. A dirt road wraps to the foreground, surrounded by a flat, grassy plane settled beneath a cloudy sky. To the lower right corner of the composition is an artist signature. The painting is presented in a gold tone wooden frame featuring moulded foliate motifs to the surface and hanging wire to the verso.
