A Chinese folk gouache painting of farmworkers. This painting on paper depicts a Folk Art rendering of people harvesting grain from an expansive field bordering a road and narrow pond. Most workers are seen hacking at crops with a manual tool, while others lead oxen that are attached with a tiller. An inscription and seals are present in the lower right corner. The painting is presented under glass in a black wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
