An ebonized Louis XV Style bureau plat with ormolu mounts. This wooden piece has been painted black with gold tone accents throughout. It has a green faux leather inset on the writing surface, with drawers aligned across the apron to one side, raised on cabriole legs. The surface has an egg and dart carved edge with a medallion at each corner, which sits above an ormolu style figural mount on the knees, accented by metal leaf motif ferrules at the feet. The apron and drawers have gold tone conforming borders. Each drawer has an elaborate pull with a floral cluster at one end and a bird flying out of a similar cluster at the other.
