Item Details
A Chinese watercolor and ink hanging scroll painting. This painting depicts stout birds with pastel and black colored feathers, featuring crested myna to the lower portion. They perch on thin, curling branches sprouting flowers and leaves rendered with pooled pigment. The work is signed ‘Jin Mengshi’ (金夢石) alongside an inscription and two seals in the upper left corner. The painting is mounted on what appears to be silk, which rolls over a wooden rod with hanging string affixed to the top portion.
Condition
- slight discoloration throughout; some wear to the edges of the silk and the paper.
