An original watercolor and gouache painting on paper of an autumn landscape by artist Karl Hauck. A classic autumn composition of colorful foliage with a weathered barn in the distance. Executed in both transparent washes and opaque detail work in a fall palette of red, orange, yellow and brown and softer colors in the distance which nicely achieve atmospheric perspective. Signed in paint to the lower right. Double matted in red and off white and presented behind glass. Framed in stained brown wood with a gold tone liner. Frame is nicked in several areas. To the verso, wired to hang.
