Antique Calligraphed Latin Manuscript Leaf from Antiphonal Book of Song
Item Details
An antique double-sided calligraphed Latin manuscript page from an antiphonal book of song, circa 17th-century. Inscriptions are hand-painted on vellum parchment leaf in ink. This piece is presented behind non-glare glass that allows both sides of the piece to be viewed clearly. It is matted in cream and presented in a wooden frame with brown and red finishes and a hanging wire.
Condition
- the paper is quite warped. Significant yellowing and splotty red accretion across right half of piece. Water damage is visible to lower edge of matting.
