A Victor Villarreal lost wax signed bronze titled ‘Slippers’ depicts a pair of ballerina slippers in toe position as if on the feet of a ballerina in motion. Bronze is finished in the soft blue-green patina of the metal. Slippers are set on a heavy round black disk with a label set to the verso identifying the piece as
‘bronce a la cera perdida’ which translates to lost-wax cast bronze and dated 1989. Marketed by ‘Summa Artis’ through the InterContinental Presidente Hotel in Mexico City.
