Pre-Presidential W. H. Harrison Signature on War of 1812 Military Documents

Item Details

Two War of 1812 military documents with pre-presidential William Henry Harrison signature. Documents are for advancement appointments for soldier Spencer Wiley with the William Henry Harrison document for his advancement to ensign in 1811. The other document is signed by Thomas Posey for Wiley’s advancement to Captain in 1813. Both document bear the heading ‘Governor and Commander in Chief of the Indiana Territory’ with attached paper embossed seal to the lower left corner of the document. Presented between glass with a single mat to the front in wood frames equipped to hang with a wire to the back.
