An antique sterling silver match safe, oval in form, embossed in an allover foliate pattern with rampant lions supporting a monogrammed shield (WHJ in script). The hinged lid is stamped ‘sterling 872’ with the hallmark for R. Blackinton & Co., Mass. The total approximate weight is 1.020 ozt.
