Vintage Frank M. Whiting Co. Weighted Sterling Silver Compote

Item Details

A weighted sterling silver compote by Frank M. Whiting & Company of North Attleboro, Massachusetts (active 1878-1940). This piece features a shallow well with a flared rim, accented by a gadroon and beaded border along the lip and raised on a stemmed base. The compote is marked ‘Sterling by Frank M. Whiting & Company Weighted and Re-Enforced 175’ on the underside.

Condition

- moderate surface wear and scratches throughout including dents, spots and fingerprints; mild tarnish.
