A set of The Spectator by Alexander Chalmers. This set is presented with marbleized covers with leather corners and spines decorated with gilt. It includes volumes one through six and was published by D. Appleton and Company in 1864.

Condition
Foxing, spines & covers intact as well as pages, some scratches on spine front cover of leather, title page has ink writing “HH Hall (or Harry H Hall) from Mother Feb 12th 1867”, some pencil/graphite notations within text pages
Vol 1 top of spine is torn away – about .75" from top edge
