An original maritime oil on canvas painting, depicting a three mast schooner lowering their sails to the wind, seemingly pulling into port, given the ‘I’ flag at the top of the center mast. Cloudy skies and blustery sea. Unsigned, late 19th century, seemingly. Housed in a gold leaf wooden molding frame.
Condition
Canvas has been restretched. Some gold leaf loss to frame.
