A pair of watercolor paintings on paper of pastoral scenes by artist Saunders. These two Impressionist paintings include Glowing Sunset and Colorful Sunset, both of which depict flat planes of farmland accented with barns, windmills and picketed fences. The compositions are composed of loose pigment pooled together to create a sunset, which is detail painted with the aforementioned structures. To the lower corners of the composition are artist signatures. The paintings are presented under glass beneath layered matting in a stained wooden frame with hanging wire and a handwritten tag affixed to the verso.

Condition

- slight edge wear to frames, slightly dusty; tears to paper backings.

Dimensions

- measures frame; visible image measures: 13.0" W x 3.0" H; each painting measures approximately identical.
