1848 "Dombey and Son" by Charles Dickens

An early edition of Charles Dickens’s novel Dombey and Son, fully titled Dealings with the Firm of Dombey and Son: Wholesale, Retail and for Exportation. This book, published in 1848 by Bradbury and Evans of London, includes black-and-white illustrations by H. K. Browne, also known as ‘Phiz.’ The book has a half-leather binding with raised bands, marbled-paper-covered boards and marbled endpapers. Gilt lettering on the spine reads ‘Dombey and Son. / Dickens. / 1848.’
