Vintage Japanese Shin-Hanga Woodblock Print
Item Details
An original vintage Japanese woodblock print, printed in the popular shin-hanga style of the mid-20th century. The print depicts a tall pagoda rising over a canopy of trees printed in shades of white, mustard yellow, and navy. A full moon glows brightly over the scene. A signature and artist’s seal (…陽) are printed in-block to the lower left. The print is matted in thin wood veneer and presented behind glass in a wooden frame cut to look like bamboo with natural finish and an eyehook to the verso for hanging.
Condition
- light debris between glass and matting. Scratching across frame.
