A multi-volume, limited edition set of books from Courtiers and Favourites of Royalty. The works include volumes one and two of Memoirs of Talleyrand, Memoirs of Josephine, Memoirs of Marmontel, Memoirs of D’epinay, and Memoirs of Fouche. Also included are Memoirs of Cardinal de Retz, History of Henry IV, and volumes one through three of Memoirs of D’epinay and Memoirs of Duke de Richelieu. The set is marked as ‘Edition des Trianon’ and has been numbered as 623 in a limited edition of 1,000 copies. The books were published by Societe des Bibliophiles and Merrill & Baker in 1903. Each volume is presented in half red leather binding, with marble patterned boards and gilt lettering to the spine.
