Hand-Knotted Persian Kashan Palace Rug

A vintage hand-knotted Kashan palace rug. This wool rug features an arabesque pattern on a dark blue field in a palette of red, burnt orange and white. It is surrounded by a modified herati style border with floral guard borders. The edges have been restored and it has thin warp fringe to the ends. There are no visible maker’s marks to the piece.
