Hand-Knotted Turkish Floral Wool Area Rug

A vintage hand-knotted Turkish floral area rug. This wool rug features a central palmette pattern with branch forms in a palette of pink, cherry red orange, ivory, and dark blue. It is surrounded by a stylized herati border boteh forms and meander floral guard borders in the same colorway, framed by a reciprocal Laleh Abbasi band. It has double overcast edges and white fringe to either end. The rug has a wood disc attached to one corner with screws. It is illegibly tagged to the underside.
