Pair of Vintage Hitchcock Style Chairs

Item Details

A pair of vintage Hitchcock style chairs, each featuring distinguishable qualities popular in the production of such chairs originating from the Hitchcock, Alford, & Co design. Each chair features a seat made of rush and a seat back and crest rail decorated with stenciled floral motifs. These chairs are painted in a very dark green and feature turned front legs ringed in gold with ball feet. The manufacturer of these chairs is actually High Point Bending & Chair Co. in Siler City, NC taking after the original Hitchcock, Alford, & Co. design and their makers mark is affixed to the bottom of one of the seats.
