A hand-knotted accent rug by Matis. This Turkish-made rug wool and cotton rug features a Persian-style floral medallion design in a palette of rust, cream, periwinkle, and tan. It begins with a central star medallion filled with an surrounded by sprays of flowers over a rust-colored field. Frmaing the field are compound borders, including a floral herati main borders. Selvedges are overcast; ends finish with long, knotted cotton warp fringe. The rug is labeled on the reverse and includes a certificate of authenticity.
