A pair of prints on paper including The Last of England after British engraver Herbert K. Bourne (1825-1907), and a portrait of English poet laureate Alfred Tennyson (1809-1892), after engraver J. Stephenson. The Last of England reproduces a well-known English painting by Pre-Raphaelite artist Ford Madox Brown (1821-1893), depicting a British couple emigrating to the New World. Printer information is included beneath the image, with the title. The portrait of Lord Tennyson is realistically rendered in meticulous detail, after a painting by English Victorian artist George Frederic Watts (1817-1904), with printer information included beneath the image and an inscription in plate to the lower margin.
