A wall tapestry of a Rococo fishing scene. In this machine-woven tapestry, a man who has been fishing at a stream is joined by two woman who have been picking flowers in the garden around him. One of the women has taken his fishing line and holds it in her hands as they converse. It is unsigned, and finished with a black velvet edge hand-stitched to the outside. A stamp to the verso states that the piece was made in Belgium.

Condition

- some discoloration and fading to tapestry; velvet border has holes and is loose to lower left, has unfinished edges at corners; dirty.
