This collection includes a first printing box set of The Vinegar Works: Three Volumes of Moral Instruction by Edward Gorey, published in 1963 by Simon and Schuster, Inc. of New York City, including The Gashlycrum Tinies, or, After the Outing, The Insect God, and The West Wing. Also included is a first printing of Scrap Irony by Felicia Lamport, illustrated by Edward Gorey and copyright 1961 by the Houghton Mifflin Company; this edition is hardcover with its original dust jacket. The third piece is a 2000 ‘deluxe engagement book’ edition of The Utter Zoo Alphabet by Gorey, published in 1999 by Pomegranate.
