A hand-knotted carved Chinese wool area rug. The rug features a lavender field that is populated by large floral blossom patterns, linear patterns, and a structure along one end in a palette of deep green, pink, peach, and purple. It has been carved along the design lines for a dimensional appearance. The field is enclosed by a deep pink border with an overcast edge and a short fringe to either end. Unmarked.
