Magnificent and very large wood model of the ‘H.M.S. Prince’, commissioned in the year 1670; by Jack Barger of Maritime Modelers. This extraordinary model took 1500 hours to build; it is very large; almost four feet by three and a half feet by one and 1/2 feet; and boasts of Walnut outer planking, with Red Mahogany to Hull and deck; brass fittings and trim throughout the ship, and intricately woven rope rigging. According to the modeler, the H.M.S. Prince was one of the most beautiful British ships of the line, with 100 cannons and a crew of 800; a true piece of History.
