A mezzotint on paper titled Miss Harriet Powell engraved by British artist John Raphael Smith (1752-1812) after an original painting by Matthew William Peters (1742-1814). This piece depicts a half-length portrait of Harriet Powell facing to the left and looking over her left shoulder. She has a large hairdo with a netted hairpiece. An oval frame is printed around her. Beneath the image is the scratched letter proof of the title and sub-heading "Engraved from a Painting of M. Peters in the Collection of John Taylor Esq. by J.R. Smith", with publication information below that. A label to the verso also lists the title and artists’ names. This piece is presented behind layered French mats and glass in a gold tone frame that is wired for hanging.
