A mixed media painting on panel from Jane W. Williams. This piece uses oils in warm tones, burlap, and natural fibers to depict a woman with an open book in one hand, a dark figure to her right, and a second figure in the background. It is initialed and dated ‘JWW 1996’ to the lower right, presented against a light tan mat and protected behind glass, in a gold tone wooden frame with a wire affixed to the verso.

Condition

- light wear to frame finish; glass could be cleaned more thoroughly.
